This is Meme, our foundation queen.
We were very lucky to find some one like Hazel Leese, who allowed us to have such a lovely girl as Meme. She encouraged us to show her and allowed us to start breeding from her. Hazel also introduced us to Barbara Parry who’s advice over the years has been greatly appreciated.
She is pictured here with her daughter, Mandy.

Mandy was born in June 1995 from our very first litter of kittens. We were lucky to have 4 kittens; brown, blue, chocolate and lilac. As a novice I had difficulty in telling the two almost white kittens apart, I wasn’t sure if they were lilac or chocolate at first. It soon became clear that we had one of each, a rainbow litter. What luck! Mandy has had a very distinguished career and since retiring from the bench in 2006 has decided to leave the showing to the younger Karlac cats to follow her example.

Jenny is Mandy's daughter. Her father was Ch Jaspurra Panther, a lovely chocolate boy owned and breed by Elaine Haynes. Sadly Panther is no longer with us, leaving Jenny to produce kittens with his wonderful type and temperament.
